Flintshire Indoor Bowling Club

Welcome to the new website of Flintshire Indoor Bowling Club.

See 'Downloads' for a document outlining Ffrith Bowling Club's winter league programme.

We met with Aura Leisure recently and were informed that due to the COVID 19 pandemic, Aura had reviewed their options for any future opening of their leisure centres. For financial reasons their immediate focus was to open the gymnasium as this activity was the biggest revenue earner. Given that social distancing would constrain the amount of equipment in the current gymnasium area, the decision to utilise the indoor bowling hall as a temporary gymnasium had been taken.
As a result there will be no indoor bowling activity for the 2020/2021 season, a commitment has been given to install a new indoor bowling carpet in readiness for the 2021/2022 season.
This situation is concerning to us all especially in the longer term as we worry that Aura renege on their commitment to reinstall the indoor carpet. The letter from Aura in regard of the above can be viewed in the 'Downloads' page.
See Picture gallery (2020) for photographs of the Indoor Bowls Hall being converted to a gymnasium.

We are the only indoor bowling club located in Flintshire. The Club stadium is situated within the Jade Jones Pavilion Leisure Centre in Flint. Our location is well served by major road networks from Merseyside, Wirral, Cheshire, Wrexham and Flintshire areas.
The indoor bowls hall has 4 rinks that satisfy National and International standards.

October through to March we offer a comprehensive league programme played daily in a Pairs and Triples format, in the evenings we play 3 leagues, Singles, Pairs and Triples. All our leagues are open to both female and male club members.

New members are always welcome and we have club coaches available who are always willing to help and assist new or inexperienced bowlers. Our Club is fully inclusive regardless of age, gender, race, physical disability or sexual orientation.

For details on how to join our club and the associated costs, please look at the relevant pages on this website.

The club provides a free session of coaching for new or inexperienced bowlers on the first Sunday of each month from October to March.
